The International Committee promotes the mission and ideas of folkhighschoolwork on international level. The Committee participates in several international networks of organisations and persons in the area of adult education, with a special focus on non-formal adult education.

The Commission

 

maintains contacts and exchanges information about education-policy, good practices and methods with relevant organisations in other countries

promotes Dutch participation in international conferences and projects concerning adult education

facilitates the access to international networks, information and experiences in the area of adult education, with an accent on non-formal adult education.

Norway-programme Youth-exchange-programme with folkhighschools in Norway
   
Lifelong Learning Activities on Lifelong Learning-policy, specially focussed on
the position of non-formal adult education in relation with
formal and informal learning
   
Adult Learners' Week The Committee is member of the National Sounding Panel, is oriented on a permanent renewal of the Week with active participation of providers of non-formal education. The committee supports regional activities of the ALW.
