DIALOGUE ON LOCAL LIFE LONG LEARNING

GLOPS is a succesfull Grundtvig-project celebrating its third year. Key aim of het project is the exchange of good models for management, organisational structure and programme planning in local municipalities with less than 20.000 inhabitants. The projectpartners want to disseminate the results in order to stimulate small local communities in their efforts to design good quality adult education.
'Dialogue on local lifelong leaning' will draw attention to the importance of good cooperation between all relevant partners in the educational field, which not only include centres for formal and non-formal adult education, but also local libraries, cultural centres and museums. The conference presents transferable collaboration models for several actors on local level.
Objectives
Participants discuss recent relevant documents on Lifelong Learning and develop a vision on their implementation on local level. They go home with 'a suitcase' full of good models of local cooperation between formal, non-formal and informal learning, which are especially developed to be used in smaller communities.
Content
Main documents on lifelong learning (i.g. Memorandum, Communication, Education for All). Keypoints for Local Programmes on Adult Education. Presentation of good practices on local cooperation in adult learning. Role of libraries, museums and cultural centres in adult education. Training needs for local actors. There will be lectures, workshops, expositions and study-visits (including a visit to Forum 2004 in Barcelona).

English (possibilities of workshops in Catalan or Spanish depending on participants)

Probably it will de possible to apply for a Grundtvig 3-grant for this course
